Poio is a small city near the capital of the province Pontevedra. The connection through the motorway works like an umbilical cord.

The duality between urban and rural structures this place.

Urban_net begins with a critical point of view. It creates a new landscape and is conducive to generate new urban opportunities more dynamics.

The study area has two different situations. In the south zone, the influences and the flows are produced by the road. It is a moving space. The buildings are massive and compact. The other side, in the North, there are big green areas and small houses. The urban space is basically rural.

The project uses the actual buildings to protect the road’s influences; and look for participate of the landscape and the green possibilities. The local roads net works with a perimeter ring. It is a channel between South and North ways.

The floor is the relation of man with the earth. The public space is active with relations systems as spaces of opportunities: play, enjoy, relax, talk, make a picnic, love, smile….. A wonderful place, an uncertain feeling, a eventful moment.

The housing-pieces are elevated; because the public spaces are continuous. It is an activities carpet.

The positioning of the buildings creates multi-scapes with a lot of different perspectives.

The new possibilities to connect break the traditional board of the public-private meaning. These processes change our relations. The nearest is the connectivity to the net. Net like efficient in group through links.

Can be the city out of these processes?

Urban_net is urban process in network.

Community space is a new concept of urban connection. It works finding communal needs and creating spaces. It can be an energy link, an economic link, a medical link, a relations link…….

The laundry, the social club, green therapies, study rooms, visitor rooms, oldies activities, kindergartens, relax…….are some examples.

Community is a mix between communal and unity.

Today, housing is not a general need. The habitable spaces are individual needs. We operate without typologies, we create inter-linking spaces.

Habitable spaces as multi-action to live.

More efficient and cleaned energy is necessary to have a sustainable world.

The idea is simple: together better than individual. The project uses the coast winds to generate clean energy. It works for everybody. The system is solidarity then divides and carries the energy demands.
